FAQ

  1. Is Isolink a 4bar design?
Yes! Just like most bikes. Isolink belongs to the family of short-link 4-bar bikes (VPP, Maestro, DW), with a rear wheel member connected to the main frame by two short links.

2. Is Isolink heavier than other 4-bar designs?
An Isolink bike would weigh as much as any other short-link 4-bar bike.

3. Is Isolink only for trailbikes?
We designed Isolink to be applied to all ride disciplines from XC to DH. Same design, different looks.

4. Is Isolink available?
Soon. Watch out for it!

5. Do I need a special rear shock if I get an Isolink frame?
No need. Isolink frames will work with both air and coil shocks preferably with rebound adjustments.

Each Isolink bike is designed with the kind of shock and type of riding in mind. XC/trail bikes typically use air shocks which are inherently progressive. We therefore design the leverage ratios to minimize the harshness of progression. AM/FR/DH bikes typically use linear coil shocks. The leverage ratios have a built-in progression to minimize bottom outs.

6. Will there be an Isolink DH bike?
Absolutely ! The Isolink design is ideal for DH since it can provide 0% anti Rise to achieve the "floating brake" feel, and any other preferred anti-Rise level.

Using floating brakes is a matter of preference. Some like it, some don't. The use of floating brakes actually gives constant 0% anti-rise. We can technically design an Isolink DH bike with the exact feel of floating brakes.

All three inventors ride DH by the way.

7. Is the rearshock subjected to more stress on the Isolink vs other 4-bar designs?
No more than any other short-link 4-bar bike.

8. Will Isolink work on 1x9 setups? 2 x 9? single speed fullsus? any preferences?

Isolink works for all chain-ring setups, but the suspension works best at the middle chainring.

9. Is Isolink for racing?
Very much so! Isolink bikes are designed to be as light, stiff and efficient as can be. Race it. No excuses!

10. Is Isolink for the recreational rider?
Heck yeah! We are weekend warriors ourselves. How do you think we found the time to make this?! :)

11. Will Isolink make me win races?
Only if you promise to train hard.
